A cold front is arriving in our area and bringing with it some particularly strong wind gusts.
The winds have prompted the following Special Weather Statement from the National Weather Service.

Occasional wind gusts to around 45 mph are possible this evening over portions of northern and central Maryland into northern Virginia, including Washington DC and Baltimore MD.
This may result in a few downed branches and loose objects such as decorations being blown about.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
Secure outdoor objects.
