Arlington and much of the D.C. area will be under a Freeze Watch early Tuesday.
After temperatures reached the 90s this past week, near-freezing conditions are expected Tuesday morning.

* WHAT…Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 possible, especially in outlying areas away from larger bodies of water.
* WHERE…The District of Columbia. In Maryland, Anne Arundel, Prince Georges, Calvert, Charles, and St. Marys Counties. In Virginia, King George and Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria Counties.
* WHEN…From late Monday night through Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS…Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
To prevent water pipes from freezing, wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
