Two days of vendors, activities and pet-themed fun are returning to Clarendon in an annual market happening this weekend.
Pet Palooza is coming to 2800 Clarendon Blvd from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on May 30-31, bringing pet adoption opportunities, live music and giveaways. More than 50 vendors are expected to participate, offering items like handmade pet accessories, treats and toys.
Rew Band will perform live music, and Lucky Dog Rescue and Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation are also expected to make appearances on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Lost Dog & Cat’s adoption event will take place from noon to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, with animal meet-and-greets and on-site interviews.
The market will also include some merch for humans, like vintage goods and pet plushies.
The festival is put on by URBNmarket, a regional organizer behind events like last year’s “Gather” fall fest in Clarendon.
“Visitors are going to be able to ‘adopt a dog’ by picking out a free plush dog, filling out their own adoption papers, and making their own bandana for their new pet,” URBNmarket told ARLnow.
Attendees who sign up to join The Crossing Clarendon’s mailing list will also receive a complimentary “pet-friendly gift,” while supplies last, according to the organizer.
