Primark to replace Fashion Q at Pentagon City mall this fall

A changeup in clothing retailers is coming to the Pentagon City mall.

The fast fashion retailer Primark is coming to the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City (1100 S. Hayes Street), replacing women’s retailer Fashion Q in the Metro level space formerly held by Forever 21. The new retail location is expected to open in late fall, according to a press release.

Fashion Q is no longer listed on the mall’s online directory.

Primark plans to offer an “expansive shopping experience that combines trend-right style with accessible pricing” for adults and kids. It will also sell a selection of beauty items and home goods.

Other Primark locations in the D.C. area are in Tysons Corner Center, the Potomac Mills mall and The Mall at Prince George’s.

“This addition reflects the continued evolution of our retail mix and reinforces our commitment to bringing highly sought-after brands and dynamic shopping experiences to our community,” said Wesley Mehr, general manager of the Fashion Centre.

Primark is one of several future businesses planned at the mall, including the long-anticipated Japanese arcade, Gatcha, nearby on the Metro level.

Elsewhere, Nova Jewelers and Takumi Japanese Bistro and Bar are both “coming soon,” while jeweler Pandora is relocating on the second level, according to the mall’s website.
