A woman was found dead outside of the entrance to the Rosslyn Metro station Sunday afternoon, prompting a death investigation.
So far, the death is not believed to be suspicious in nature, Arlington County police tell ARLnow.
Crime scene tape, a tent and a number of ACPD and Metro Transit Police personnel could be seen in front of the Metro entrance on N. Moore Street yesterday, according to social media posts and an ARLnow reader.
“At approximately 2:54 p.m. on August 23, police and fire personnel were dispatched to the 1800 block of N. Moore Street for the report of a cardiac arrest,” said ACPD spokeswoman Alli Shorb. “Upon arrival, an unresponsive adult female was located outside the Rosslyn Metro Station and was subsequently pronounced deceased.”
“Based on the preliminary investigation, the death does not appear suspicious, and there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the community related to this incident,” Shorb continued. “The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death of the deceased individual.”
