Arlington County is seeking residents’ input on how to improve five corridors with unusually high rates of crashes resulting in injury or death.
Respondents have until tomorrow (Friday) to submit feedback on the county’s “High-Injury Network,” which includes the following streets selected for safety audits next year.
- Fort Myer Drive between westbound Langston Blvd and the Arlington Blvd ramps
- George Mason Drive between N. Carlin Springs Road and 6th Street S.
- Richmond Highway between 20th Street S. and 33rd Street S.
- S. Eads Street between S. Rotary Road and 26th Road S.
- Wilson Blvd between N. Frederick Street and N. Quincy Street
The complete High-Injury Network makes up just 6.6% of roads in Arlington, but accounts for 51% of injury crashes.
The feedback forms ask respondents to flag areas of concern and safety needs along the studied areas.
“Feedback will be used alongside data and observations from the Vision Zero team as part of the HIN Safety Audit process,” the feedback form says.
