After an argument Sunday evening on Columbia Pike, a woman deliberately struck a man with her car.
That’s according to Arlington County Police Department crime report. The incident happened just before 7 p.m. in the area of the Arlington Mill Community Center and the Columbia Pike Plaza shopping center.
The woman and man knew each other, police said. He was hurt by the collision but is expected to be okay. Warrants were issued for the driver’s arrest.

UNLAWFUL WOUNDING, 2017-02050199, 5000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 6:50 p.m. on February 5, officers responded to the report of an assault and battery. Upon arrival it was determined that a male victim was standing outside a vehicle while talking to an occupant of that vehicle. Following a verbal dispute between two known individuals, the female driver accelerated causing the male victim to fall backwards and suffer non-life threatening injuries. The male victim was transported to Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Warrants have been obtained. The investigation is ongoing.

PEEPING, 2017-02070016, 1300 block of N. Pierce Street. At approximately 2:00 a.m. on February 7, officers responded to the report of an unknown male suspect peering into windows of a residence. A female victim witnessed the suspect, causing the suspect to flee the scene on foot. An individual matching the suspect description was located in the area. A show up was conducted and a positive identification was made. Alexander Lopez, 36, of Arlington Va, was arrested and charged with peeping into dwelling. He is being held without bond.
BURGLARY, 2017-02070079, 2000 block of N. 15th Street. Between 7:30 p.m. on February 6 and 8:55 a.m. on February 7, an unknown subject(s) entered an office and rummaged through items. No items appear to be missing. There is no suspect(s) description.
ROBBERY, 2017-01310240, 1600 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 7:35 p.m. on January 31, officers responded to the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that two unknown male subjects wearing masks entered a store, one of the suspects brandished a firearm. The suspects demanded cash from the register and fled the scene on foot. The first suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his thirties, approximately 6’0″ tall. He was wearing a dark gray hoodie, black ski mask, jeans, and sneakers. The second suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his thirties, approximately 5’10” tall. He was wearing a light gray hoodie sweatshirt, black ski mask, and sneakers. A perimeter was established and a K-9 track was conducted with negative results. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2017-01310093, 1100 block of S. 21st Street. At approximately 11:21 a.m. on January 31, officers responded to the report of an audible back door alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined that an individual forced entry through a rear door. No items appear to be missing or rummaged through. There is no suspect(s) description.
BURGLARY, 2017-01310139, 1900 block of N. Westmoreland Street. Between 10:45 a.m. and 2:05 p.m. on January 31, an unknown subject(s) forced entry into a residence and stole numerous items of value. There is no suspect(s) description.
