
Arlington County is under a Tornado Watch tonight (Monday) amid a threat of severe weather.
Much of the D.C. area is under the watch, which was issued shortly before 4 p.m. and is set to remain in effect until 11 p.m.

There is a potential for severe storms capable of producing considerable wind damage, large hail, and the threat for an isolated tornado this afternoon and early this evening.
Heavy rain from thunderstorms may lead to isolated instances of flooding this afternoon and early evening.
A Tornado Watch has been issued for areas east of the Blue Ridge & Catoctin Mountains until 11 PM. Severe thunderstorms will be capable of producing tornadoes. Hail up to the size of ping pong balls and 70 mph wind gusts are also possible. #MDwx #WVwx #VAwx #DCwx pic.twitter.com/97zyCfECdY
