An 18-year-old Arlington man and several teen boys have been charged in connection to a pair of linked incidents earlier this week, including a shot fired near Ballston.
Around noon on Tuesday a male victim was robbed of clothes in the stairwell of a parking garage on the 600 block of N. Glebe Road — which corresponds with the Ballston mall garage. The man and two teens were later arrested and face several charges, according to Arlington County police.
The next morning, according to police, the same victim was walking down a nearby street “when the suspect discharged a firearm from a vehicle before fleeing the scene.” No one was hurt, but two nearby schools were secured as police searched the area. Another teen suspect was later arrested and now faces several charges.
Following a search of a home in the Buckingham neighborhood early Thursday, police say, additional arrests are now expected.

The Arlington County Police Department is investigating two related criminal incidents involving the same victim that occurred on consecutive days this week. Arrests have been made in both incidents and additional arrests are expected as detectives continue the investigations and identify and locate additional suspects.
At approximately 12:09 p.m. on April 29, police were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Glebe Road for the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside a stairwell of a parking garage when multiple suspects entered, assaulted him, stole clothing items and subsequently fled the scene on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries. As a result of the ongoing investigation, Kevin Flores Moya, 18, of Arlington, VA and two juvenile males in their teens were later arrested and charged with Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Felony and Assault by Mob.
At approximately 9:12 a.m. on April 30, police were dispatched to reports of a shot heard in the area. The preliminary investigation indicates the same victim was walking in the area when the suspect discharged a firearm from a vehicle before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as a juvenile male in his teens. He was subsequently taken into custody and petitions for Attempted Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Shooting from a Vehicle and Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place were obtained.
In the early morning hours of May 1, detectives executed a residential search warrant in the 100 block of N. Thomas Street. Evidence recovered during the search is believed to be connected to both the assault and the shooting investigations.
This remains an active criminal investigation.
