Arlington and much of the D.C. area is now under a Tornado Watch.
The watch was issued just before 2:30 p.m. and is set to remain in effect until 10 p.m.
Forecasters say conditions today are conducive to the formation of “a couple” of tornados. Earlier this afternoon a possible tornado spun up near Stafford.
Hail and strong winds are also expected with storms expected to arrive later today. More, below, from the National Weather Service.
