ACPD: Teens arrested after stabbing and armed robbery

Arlington County police are investigating a pair of separate Sunday incidents involving teen suspects with weapons.

The first happened early Sunday morning in the Crystal City area, when four teen boys brandished what looked like a gun and stole a victim’s jewelry.

The same group committed another armed robbery in Fairfax County later in the day, according to ACPD, and was tracked down to an address in the Shirlington area where they were all taken into custody.

An airsoft gun and stolen jewelry were recovered, police said.

ROBBERY (late), 2025-06080028, 2600 block of Richmond Highway. At approximately 2:45 a.m. on June 8, police were dispatched to the late report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside the business when he engaged in conversation with four juvenile male suspects which quickly turned into a verbal dispute. As the victim exited the business, the four suspects assaulted the victim. One of the suspects brandished what appeared to be a firearm at the victim and the other suspects stole the victim’s jewelry before fleeing the scene in a sedan. The victim sustained minor injuries. At approximately 7:37 p.m. a lookout was broadcast out of Fairfax County for an armed robbery in which three juvenile suspects assaulted a victim, one of which brandished a firearm, and all suspects fled the scene in a sedan driven by the fourth suspect. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle in the 4500 block of 31st Street S. and took the four occupants of the vehicle into custody without incident. It was later determined these individuals matched the description of the suspects from the prior incident. During the course of the investigation, an airsoft gun, and jewelry were recovered. Charges for the juvenile suspects are pending.

Also in the crime report, a man was stabbed after trying to confront a group of knife-wielding teen boys who stole his phone during an altercation near Columbia Pike last night.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB, 2025-06080177, 4600 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. At approximately 10:31 p.m. on June 8, police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside his parked vehicle when a group of approximately five to six juvenile male suspects approached and began yelling. The victim then exited his vehicle, a physical altercation ensued and several of the suspects displayed knives. One of the suspects stole the victim’s phone from his unoccupied vehicle before all of the suspects subsequently fled the scene on foot. The victim then located the group a short distance away and confronted them during which the suspects physically assaulted him and one of the suspects struck the victim with a knife, resulting in a laceration, before the group fled the scene. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspects yielding negative results. Later in the evening, officers observed two individuals in the area of S. Glebe Road and northbound I-395 matching the description of two of the suspects, conducted a subject stop and detained them. During the course of the investigation, an airsoft gun and suspected narcotics were recovered. One juvenile male suspect was charged with Possession of Marijuana by a Person Under 21 and Carrying an Air Gun in Public and was released on summons. The remaining outstanding suspects are described as Black and Hispanic males in their teens, approximately 5’4”-5’10”, wearing face coverings. The investigation into the circumstances of this incident is ongoing.
