By popular demand, the award-winning restaurateurs behind Ellie Bird are debuting a new private dining experience in Falls Church.
The Nest offers prix fixe, multi-course meals in a private dining room attached to Ellie Bird at 123 Founders Avenue. It is the fourth concept by owners Carey and Yuan Tang, known for their acclaimed contemporary cuisine and avian-themed eateries, including D.C.’s Rooster & Owl.
“We’re really thrilled,” Carey Tang told ARLnow. “We kept getting requests in both restaurants for private dining options, which we don’t have in either location, and the amount of private dining requests was really growing.”
The Nest has dinner and brunch service
- Carey Tang said the dining room is ideal for events like bachelorette parties, office holiday parties or book clubs at varying budgets.
- Booking options range from a two-course “seasonal table” at $55 per person, to a $175 four-course “chef’s tasting” meal by Rooster & Owl’s Michelin-starred team.
- “For the two- and three-course [options], it’s very aligned with Ellie Bird,” Carey Tang said. “For that more ‘elevated luxury’ experience, that’s where the fourth course comes into play.”
Menus spotlight contemporary American cuisine
- Each booking option features customizable menus curated by the teams behind Ellie Bird and Rooster & Owl.
- Housemade rigatoni and Amish chicken with roasted mushrooms and green chili yogurt are featured, along with a chocolate tart with toasted marshmallow ice cream for dessert.
- The four-course meal also comes with “premium supplement” add-ons, like caviar and wine pairings.
Bookings are open now
- The Nest can seat 50 guests or host up to 75 guests standing. For larger parties, The Nest can be combined with Ellie Bird’s main dining room.
- It is also partnering with neighboring businesses to offer “bundled” event packages like group nail services at Sparkle and Pop Nails or a Rumble Boxing fitness class. These start at $15 per person.
- Dinner reservations are available now from Tuesday through Sunday, with brunch bookings available on weekends.
