A long-awaited confectionery shop in Clarendon has opened just in time for the Christmas season.
Kilwins, located on the ground floor of The Hartford Building at 3101 Wilson Blvd, opened for business on Friday. Joining other locations in D.C. and Alexandria, it offers an array of chocolates, ice cream and other classic treats.
Kilwins sells a wide variety of chocolates
- The store’s selection includes dozens of kinds of milk chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate.
- A deli-style case is the crown jewel of the store, complete with individual chocolates like Irish cream truffles, cherry cordials, peanut clusters and much more.
- Pre-wrapped offerings include chocolate-covered raisins, peanuts, almonds and espresso beans, plus milk chocolate foils.
Ice cream, other sweets also available
- Kilwins sells about two dozen kinds of its “original recipe” ice cream, in flavors like sea-salt chocolate caramel, blueberry waffle cone and Georgia peach.
- A limited selection of non-chocolate sweets, like lemon drops and gummy candy, is also available.
The store, which was first announced in May 2024, is open from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
