Sports bars in Arlington and Falls Church crowded with soccer fans yesterday (Thursday) as the 2026 FIFA World Cup began with victories for Mexico and South Korea.
From watch parties and drink specials, local businesses across the region have launched into weeks of festivities as the tournament continues through Sunday, July 19. Here’s an updated list of venues to gather with fans, watch the games and enjoy specials on food and drink.
Tacombi
The taqueria screened yesterday’s matchup between Mexico and South Africa and is offering a special World Cup menu throughout the tournament. Specials include $15 Jamaica margaritas, palomas, and mini tacos (four per order).

Inca Social
The Peruvian restaurant and bar has a long lineup of World Cup specials, including $8 draft beers, $25 five-beer buckets of Michelob Ultra and shareable Peruvian parrilladas. These will be available as the restaurant screens games across multiple TVs and projector screens.
It will also offer several country-themed specials for matches with Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina, including $7 vodka sodas (U.S.), margaritas (Mexico) and caipirinhas (Brazil).

O’Sullivan’s Irish Pub
Fans of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team can visit O’Sullivan’s Irish Pub, which has been named the region’s “Bosnian Supporters’ Bar” by Facebook group Bosnians in Washington, D.C.
The bar will show the team’s 3 p.m. games this afternoon (Friday), June 18 and June 24, according to the Facebook group.

Ireland’s Four Provinces
This Irish pub wants to be “the headquarters for World Cup soccer in Falls Church,” with plans to screen games across 13 TVs inside and on its covered patio. The restaurant will keep its kitchen open late on game nights while offering drink specials including five-drink buckets of Michelob Ultra or Nutrl for $32.

Plenty of watch parties are planned throughout the tournament at this Falls Church watering hole, which hosts happy hour from 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 50% off growler fills every Wednesday.

The Ballston restaurant promises a celebration “filled with Spanish flavors, tapas, drinks, and futbol energy all tournament long,” inviting customers to a special menu with tapas, desserts and drinks as they watch the games.
Specials include $10-$12 tapas like shrimp coquetas and Madrid-style calamari, as well as $6 beers and $10 wines and cocktails.

Clarendon Ballroom
Fans of team Brazil can watch their team face off against Morocco tomorrow (Saturday) and Scotland on Wednesday, June 24, at two watch parties hosted by Arena Brazou. Matches will be streamed with full sound. Eventbrite tickets start at $28.
The nightlife venue will also host a Team USA kickoff party at 7 p.m. tonight with specials like $4 domestic beers and $6 rail drinks.

Ireland’s Four Courts
Recently named the nation’s best soccer bar in a national Men in Blazers voting contest, Ireland’s Four Courts will show games throughout the entire tournament. The pub’s World Cup schedule is available to view online, with some international games starting as late as midnight.

Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse
The drafthouse is hosting a big-screen watch party with drink specials as the United States takes on Paraguay during its first matchup today (Friday). Free entry can be reserved on the venue’s website.

Arlington Mill Community Center
The community center plans to host free “Watch Party Wednesdays” for select matches on June 17, June 24 and July 1. Games will be broadcast on a large outdoor screen, and there will be DJs, food trucks and activities for teens.
The Columbia Pike Partnership will also host a World Cup night at the center on Saturday, July 11.
“Across three exciting match days, from early tournament clashes to a thrilling semifinal, the Arlington Mill Plaza, Gaming Lounge, and Gym will transform into the ultimate soccer celebration space,” a description reads. “Cheer for your favorite teams and enjoy a shared match day experience with the Arlington community.”

Astro Beer Hall is offering special World Cup game day deals starting Thursday, June 11, including $5 chicken wings or loaded nachos with a drink purchase.
Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken is also offering limited-edition World Cup-themed donuts with a U.S.-inspired design, at $35 for a dozen. Flavors include raspberry glaze with white chocolate drizzle, cherry jam with cream cheese glaze and vanilla glaze with sprinkles. Preorders can be made online starting June 11.

Clarendon’s mechanical bull bar is hosting a “Stars, Stripes & Shots” party tonight to cheer on the United States during its first matchup against Paraguay. There will be DJs, giveaways and drinks specials including $4 domestic beers, $5 seltzers and $6 rail drinks. Spots can be reserved on Eventbrite.

The Ballston venue and dog-friendly patio plans to open early at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, during the tournament to screen every game. Specials include five-drink buckets priced at $30 for Modelo or Miller Lite and $42 for High Noon mango or Surfside seltzers.

Crystal City Sports Pub
The popular sports bar in Crystal City plans to show all games throughout the tournament while offering food and drink specials. These include some drinks for $10 to $12, a “Balkan Flame” New York strip for $16, a “Vancouver Victory” pizza for $15 and a “Paraguay Powerhouse” twin steak burger for $12.

Dogwood Tavern
The Dogwood Tavern’s event calendar includes several World Cup-watching dates, including the United States’ first match today. The restaurant will also show the nation’s matchups against Australia (June 19) and Turkey (June 25), among others.

The Shirlington sports bar plans to show every match live. The bar recently introduced a $12.99 lunchtime special on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering entree options like a buffalo chicken wrap, smash burger and chicken tenders with a side of choice.

Every match will be shown live at Hyde Social, which will be rooting for the United States, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. The bar is planning some food and drink specials throughout the tournament, which will be posted on its social media accounts before each match.

The Columbia Pike restaurant and bar plans to screen every match throughout the tournament across its 17 high-definition screens.
“Join us Thursday, June 11th for the first games of the World Cup and then for the rest of them,” the business’ website reads.

World Pup Cup at MoCA Arlington
Get ready for “silly soccer games for pups, trophy decorating, DJ vibes, vendors, and adoptable dogs from Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation” at this event held by the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington. Activities include a “pup soccer field” with costumed referees, DIY trophy decorating, a DJ and pet-friendly vendors.
The free celebration takes place at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 28.

A World Cup-inspired, “one-of-a-kind salsa experience” on Friday, June 26 will feature a variety of salsa hits and Latin dance music performed live. Salsa dance classes, giveaways and “nonstop World Cup vibes” are meant to celebrate the culture of Latin American countries participating in the World Cup. Tickets start at $18.
