Someone fired a gun in the air during a dispute in Courthouse tonight.
The incident happened shortly before 11 p.m., near the intersection of 15th Street N. and N. Courthouse Road. That’s near Courthouse Plaza and about a block away from police headquarters and the Metro station.
“ACPD is investigating a shot fired incident,” Arlington County police said just after midnight via social media. “Preliminary, suspect and victim were involved in a verbal dispute when the suspect discharged a firearm before fleeing the scene. No injuries reported at this time.”
“The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male wearing a black shirt and camo shorts,” police said. “Expect continued police presence in the area.”
