Dogma Bakery & Boutique will celebrate its 25th anniversary next month, marking over two decades of charity and tail wags across Arlington.
Since 2000, the business has offered signature store-baked dog treats and pet supplies while lending support to animal rescue organizations. Giving back to the community is owner Sheila Raebel’s proudest achievement and has been part of Dogma’s mission since its origins as a bakery-cafe at the Lee Harrison Shopping Center.
Daydrift, a new West Coast-inspired cafe and bookstore, is opening for business next week in Crystal City.
Starting Monday, the cafe plans to offer food, drinks and a curated range of reads in a warm, relaxing atmosphere at 1550 Crystal Drive, according to a press release. It takes the place of former bakery and cafe Mah-Ze-Dahr, which closed earlier this year.
Numerous music, comedy and theater performances are coming to Arlington and Falls Church in the coming months.
Whether it’s live jazz, a stage adaptation of “Frankenstein” or a pre-Halloween production of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” upcoming arts events this fall and winter cater to a wide range of tastes.
