An arrest has been made in connection to the after-hours theft of more than 25 cellphones from a store in the Lee-Harrison Shopping Center.
A 25-year-old suspect was apprehended yesterday (Tuesday) as police executed a search warrant, police said. It happened at a house on N. Florida Street, in the Yorktown neighborhood, less than half a mile from the electronics store he is accused of burglarizing earlier this month, a witness told ARLnow.
A man allegedly exposed himself in the women’s locker room at the Washington-Liberty High School pool Monday night.
The incident happened around 6:45 p.m. but was not reported until two hours later. The pool is open to the public during that time, outside of school hours.

Arlington NAACP Taps Incoming President — Rev. DeLishia Davis, senior pastor at Calloway United Methodist Church, will serve as president of the Arlington NAACP for 2025-26. She was the lone candidate for the post to emerge from the nomination process, with a formal vote slated for November. Rev. The new rankings, compiled by UrbanTurf, come as property values are continuing to rise both in Arlington and across the region. However, small data sets and variance in the types of properties sold may limit how much it’s possible to read into the numbers.

Those hoping to be Arlington’s next County Board member each want to see the body updated to meet the needs of the 21st century.
And that could include expanding the number of Board members, carving the county into election districts or adding an elected chief executive with strong powers.

Arlington County Board members on Saturday (Oct. 19) voted 4-1 to amend zoning rules allowing more people to occupy addiction-recovery residences in the community.
The new rules allow up to eight people by-right for recovery residences located in single-family neighborhoods. A local-government use permit will be required in other zoning areas or if more than eight occupants are sought.

Armed Robbery on Columbia Pike — “At approximately 3:35 p.m. on October 18, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered the business, approached the counter and asked to purchase merchandise located behind the counter.
