Update on 6/10/24 — There have been more bear sightings in the Donaldson Run and Cherrydale neighborhoods.
Update at 7 p.m. — It appears that the bear — or, at least, a bear — is making its way south. An ARLnow reader sent photos of the bear from the 2200 block of N. Pollard Street, about three blocks from Dorothy Hamm Middle School.
A group of thieves went on an overnight crime spree this weekend, breaking into 14 cars and stealing another three, according to Arlington County police.
The crimes were first reported early Sunday morning and spanned at least three residential, North Arlington neighborhoods — Bellevue Forest, Donaldson Run and Westover — according to an ACPD crime report.

Pandemic Making Single-Family Homes Pricier — “Could the bloom be off the rose when it comes to urban (or urban-village) living? There has been a recent increase in reports of car break-ins in residential portions of North Arlington, with more than a dozen vehicles broken into this week.
Arlington County Police reported this morning that around 10 vehicles were tampered with in the Bellevue Forest neighborhood in the early morning hours.
Earlier: The Arlington County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teen.
Police say the boy, 14, went missing this afternoon from the Bellevue Forest neighborhood and is considered endangered. He was last seen around 3:30 p.m.
