The Arlington Public Library fall book sale is back for a few days of bargain book deals.

The booster group Friends of the Arlington Public Library is holding the event in the Central Library parking garage at 1015 N. Quincy Street, offering thousands of books, games, puzzles and comics for sale. It will start with a “members only” event this afternoon and opening to the public tomorrow morning.

A fifth grader in Green Valley who ran a lemonade stand this summer to support the creation of her first book is now a self-published author.

Nora Jacoby, 10, celebrated the release of “The Four Princesses” earlier this week. It’s a tale of three princesses who use their powers to help a fourth princess who has lost everything.

The 2024 Spring Book Sale, organized by the Friends of the Arlington Public Library, is starting tomorrow at Central Library’s parking garage at 1015 N. Quincy Street and will continue through the weekend. Below is a list of dates and times.

A local Arlington bookstore, One More Page, will celebrate its 13th anniversary next Friday.

People can stop by the East Falls Church bookstore at 2200 N. Westmoreland Street from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26. to enjoy cake and refreshments and have the chance to win prizes. The event was originally scheduled for today but moved back a week due to the snow.
