Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell will stop by Arlington on Wednesday to participate in a grand opening ceremony at the new offices of New Media Strategies in Rosslyn.

NMS recently moved into larger offices at 1100 Wilson Boulevard, and the governor will help CEO Pete Snyder formally dedicate the space. No word yet on whether Snyder will break out the jumbo ribbon-cutting scissors for the second time this month.

McDonnell will also visit a homeless shelter in Alexandria as part of a series of Northern Virginia stops on Wednesday.

Will he pay a symbolic toll for his likely use of HOV on his way up from Richmond? Maybe he can multi-task and dedicate a future “private sector” corner liquor store while he’s up here? A truly remarkable governor.

So he can see for himself how Northern Virginia is the economic engine for the rest of the state.

I wonder if McDonnell will pull a Chick-fil-a and dedicate the office “to the Lord.”

I like Gov. Bob’s strategy much better than Arlington County’s plans. I’ll take private liquor stores to fund transportation over bogus lawsuits. Also, I could care less about how Chik-fil-a runs their organization — they make an awesome chicken sandwich.
