The area is once again under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. Forecasters say storms with large hail and damaging winds are possible.

From the National Weather Service:

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM FOR THE ENTIRE AREA. THUNDERSTORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE…WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AS THE PRIMARY THREATS.

    DARPA will protect us.

And I bet there’s gonna be traffic during rush hour too.

Seriously, as it is pretty much summer now, thunderstorms later in the day are pretty much par from the course so you probably don’t have to alert us each time a watch is issued.

Par for the course. And before anyone says anything, that first comment of mine is supposed to be sarcastic.

    • We only alert for Severe Thunderstorms, which are more dangerous than your average, run-of-the-mill summer thunderstorm.

    I like the alerts.

      Ditto.

  • Take it down a notch

Now that the storm has passed, I’d say it was worth alerting us to. Although I was hoping for more actual rain to wash my car.

Weather came through at 7:45 pm…considerable wind & noise; very little rain.
