Amazon’s blowout Q1 earnings are not the only cause for celebration at HQ2.
The Pentagon City office complex will also get some special outdoor guests, starting this week: live alpacas. The South American camelid mammals will be outside of Peruvian Brothers (1450 S. Eads Street) from 4-6 p.m. Friday for the restaurant’s first Alpaca Happy Hour.
They’ll return during those times every Friday this month, except Mother’s Day weekend, the restaurant said on social media.
The Peruvian Brothers location at Amazon HQ2 started serving fast-casual Peruvian cuisine this past October, following in the footsteps of Mario and Giuseppe Lanzone’s former location at the Crystal City Water Park.
There’s also a Peruvian Brothers food truck and a brick-and-mortar location at La Cosecha in Northeast D.C.
