Free dog washes this weekend at grand opening of pet groomer and supply store

Free dog washes are coming to the grand opening of a new pet supply store and “grooming salon” in North Arlington.

Wag N’ Wash, now open at the former site of Loyal Companion pet store at 2501 N. Harrison Street, in the Lee-Harrison Shopping Center, offers dog owners a chance to pamper their pups with self-service dog wash stations, professional grooming services and an array of pet products.

“Wag N’ Wash is not your typical dog product store, it’s a destination that offers specific services and products catered to the well-being of dogs and we cannot be any prouder to gain a foothold through our brand’s first-time entrance into Virginia,” said Wag N’ Wash CEO Chris Rowland.

The free washes are happening all weekend. On Sunday customers can snag free dog treats and baggies of free dog food while supplies last, according to a press release. The company is also hosting a gift card raffle for up to $250.

A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, and a cutest pet contest is set for Sunday at noon.

The location’s self-serve station comes with shampoo, conditioner, brushes and cologne spray, while a “full-service grooming salon” provides services including nail trims and ear cleanings. The store also sells dog food, leashes, toys and other canine accessories.

Wag N’ Wash will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
