A new spot for hookah and Turkish cuisine is coming to Columbia Pike.

Huqqa Lounge will be the tenant at 2330 Columbia Pike, owner Ahmet Yilidiz told ARLnow, filling the space vacated by Manoukian Brothers Oriental Rugs earlier this year.

Plans are awaiting final approvals, but work is expected to be done by the end of September, according to Yilidiz.

It will be the second location in Northern Virginia for the local business, but the first in Arlington. Huqqa Lounge’s Falls Church location opened its doors in 2020.

The restaurant’s menu features a variety of traditional Turkish offerings, including kofte, manti and an assortment of kebobs, among others items. Tea and desserts, like baklava and sutlac, are also available.

All of Huqqa Lounge’s offerings are halal. The restaurant routinely offers a late night all-you-can-eat iftar buffet for practicing Muslims to break their fast during Ramadan.
