The flavors of the Uyghur people are coming to Crystal City later this year.

Dolan Uyghur is planning to open its fourth D.C.-area location in the neighborhood in November, a representative of the restaurant confirmed to ARLnow.

It will be located at the Quimby on 23rd, an apartment building located at 320 23rd Street S.

While the restaurant’s menu features both Turkish and Chinese influences, Dolan Uyghur will introduce a handful of Mediterranean offerings at the new location to cater to a wider clientele.

“This expansion promises to bring to local customers Uyghur cuisine’s rich flavors and unique dining experience, enhanced by various Mediterranean influences,” the restaurant said in an email.

A liquor license application was submitted last week and is currently pending, according to Virginia ABC.

Also coming soon to the same building are Lantern Restaurant & Bar and Tex-Mex restaurant La Posada.

Arlington is already home to an acclaimed Uyghur restaurant: Bostan Uyghur Cuisine, which opened in Cherrydale in 2021 and was named to the New York Times list of “The 25 Best Restaurants in Washington D.C. Right Now” earlier this year.
