An eatery offering a unique option to beat the heat has opened in Clarendon.
Fantasticks, which offers custom gelato popsicles, opened last week at The Crossing Clarendon (2800 Clarendon Blvd). The booth sits in the middle of the N. Edgewood Street loop, just outside of Barnes & Noble.
Customers can choose from more than 20 different gelato pop flavors, from more simple flavors like vanilla and strawberry to mint chocolate chip, caramel brownie brittle and more.
Customers then pick from 12 different topping options and five different dip options, such as chocolate hazelnut, white chocolate and strawberry.
Fantasticks gelato bars cost five dollars. Dipping your bar, as well as adding up to three toppings, costs an extra dollar each.
Mini pops and pupsicles, both at $2.99, are also available.
Fantasticks is open on weekdays from noon until 10:30 p.m., but stays open until 11 p.m. on Fridays. It opens at 11 a.m. on weekends.
