A new option for pastries, coffee and brunch is opening in Crystal City this week.
No stranger to the D.C. area, Boston-based Tatte Bakery & Cafe is set to begin serving customers on Wednesday at 269 19th Court S., in the retail space underneath one of two newer apartment towers at 1900 Crystal Drive.
Tatte’s menu includes a variety of breakfast options, ranging from a croque madame and other sandwiches to fork-and-knife dishes like quiche and a scrambled egg plate.
Nearly two dozen pastries will be available for purchase, as well as a variety of traditional coffee beverages.
Tatte, which opened its first Arlington location in Clarendon in 2021, will also offer a slate of eight seasonal drinks, including the matcha rhubarb lemonade, black sesame latte and preserved fig lemon mint soda.
The cafe joins several other coffee options in Crystal City. Mah-Ze-Dahr is a block north on Crystal Drive, while the Brij Coffee stand is across the street in the National Landing Water Park.
