Subs are now coming Mike’s Way in Clarendon.
Jersey Mike’s Subs opened its doors at 3009 Clarendon Blvd for the first time Wednesday, a couple of weeks behind schedule. The sandwich shop replaces the former Dunkin’ in the space.
The shop’s opening adds a new fast-casual spot in an area better known for dine-in restaurants.
Customers can choose from nearly 20 different hot and cold subs and customize them with a variety of different ingredients. Most popular is “Mike’s Way,” which tops subs with a smattering of onion, lettuce and tomato, as well as a drizzle of red wine vinegar and olive oil.
Started in the 1950s, Jersey Mike’s now has more than 3,000 restaurants nationwide. The Clarendon spot is the chain’s first in Arlington, although there is one in Falls Church.
Jersey Mike’s also has plans to open a location at 3253 Columbia Pike, but no information on a target opening date has been made publicly available.
The Clarendon location is open daily from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
