Toastique’s new Clarendon outpost eyes opening later this month

A new spot for “gourmet toast” is scheduled to start serving customers later this month in Clarendon.

Toastique plans to open its doors on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8 a.m. It is located at 3100 Clarendon Blvd, a block from the Metro station, in a space subdivided from adjacent running store Pacers.

The first 100 customers on opening day will receive $50 in “Toastique Rewards Dollars,” and the first 25 customers will also get a T-shirt.

After opening a D.C. location in 2018, the restaurant chain has grown to 31 locations nationwide. At the heart of its menu are eight different toast-based dishes, which highlight ingredients ranging from smoked salmon to honey-roasted peanut butter to avocado.

The eatery also offers fruit-based options like acai bowls, cold-pressed juices and smoothies.

“We pride ourselves on using fresh, responsibly sourced ingredients and keeping our ingredients pure without adding any preservatives or filler additives,” a spokesperson told ARLnow.

While prices for the Clarendon location are not yet available, toast dishes at the other D.C.-area locations are priced around $15, depending on the order. Acai bowls cost around $13 each, while smoothies are priced at $10 for a small and $12 for a large.

After the grand opening, Toastique plans to be open daily from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
