Vehicle traffic approaching the scene of a critical pedestrian crash on N. Glebe Road
A pedestrian has been struck and seriously injured at a busy Ballston area intersection.
The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of N. Glebe Road and N. Henderson Road. Initial reports suggest a person on a scooter was struck by the driver of a pickup truck.
The victim was reported to be bleeding and suffering from critical injuries.
A witness told ARLnow that the scooter rider was a man in his 20s or 30s. He was “not coherent” and unable to get up after suffering a significant head injury, the witness said.
N. Henderson Road is currently blocked by an active police investigation of the crash. At least one southbound lane of Glebe is closed and there is heavy traffic in both directions approaching the crash scene.
