New casual eatery opens in former California Tortilla spot in Courthouse

Shortly after California Tortilla closed in Courthouse last month, another restaurant has opened in its place.

Offering casual “American and Mexican food” at affordable prices, Wilson Great Eats is currently soft opening at 2057 Wilson Blvd, next to Brooklyn Bagel Bakery. The restaurant is owned by the same family that previously operated California Tortilla, employees told ARLnow.

Rice bowls with veggies start at $10.25

  • Options for rice bowls include teriyaki chicken or steak, Thai chili shrimp, blackened chicken and pork carnitas.
  • Chicken tenders and wing baskets start at $5.85, while salad options include caesar, chicken mango avocado and Southwestern varieties.
  • The eatery is open from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to 7 p.m. on weekends.

Kid’s menu includes quesadillas and chicken tenders

  • Meals for kids age 12 and under start at $6.95 and include a drink.
  • Fountain beverages will be soon be available, as a new soda machine is getting installed.
