A new Chinese restaurant appears to be joining Westpost at National Landing.
The establishment, 1983 Chinese Cuisine, is “coming soon” to the Pentagon City shopping center formerly known as Pentagon Row, according to storefront posters at 1101 S. Joyce Street.
It will add to Westpost’s Asian cuisine options
- While a menu is not yet available, the restaurant’s visuals advertise seafood dishes and dumplings.
- Permit records suggest the new spot — taking the place of a Bonefish Grill that closed in February — will include a “VIP room,” a remodeled bar and updated flooring.
- Nearby restaurants like Bun’d Up, Noonchi, Saigon Saigon and Lucky Danger offer Asian fusion, Korean street food, Vietnamese and Chinese cuisines.
Another new restaurant is opening nearby
- Tapas restaurant El Mercat Bar de Tapas is also expected to open at Westpost in early 2025.
- El Mercat is opening at 1301 S. Joyce Street, where Asia Bistro closed in November.
