‘Romantic vintage’ cafe by founders of Pupatella planned in Falls Church

A French cafe and creperie with a vintage aesthetic may be opening soon in Falls Church.

The Little Falls Cafe is a new concept by Enzo Algarme and Anastasiya Laufenberg, the founders of Pupatella, an acclaimed Arlington-based pizzeria.  The team aims for a spring opening.

The building is 165 years old

  • The cafe plans to open in a historic, 3,500-square-foot building at 106 Little Falls Street dating back to 1860. It previously housed an OB-GYN office.
  • In line with a “romantic vintage” aesthetic, the cafe’s new street look includes red paint, floral shutters and white trim.
  • It’ll be the latest addition to a lineup of cafes downtown, including Northside Social, Rare Bird Coffee Roasters, Cafe Kindred and Godfrey’s.

An award-winning team

  • Algarme and Laufenberg’s work at Pupatella has been the subject of some acclaim, featured on a list of the world’s best pizza chains in 2023.
  • At Little Falls Cafe, crepes will be the star of the show, according to local realtor Kelly Thompson.
  • “While the menu details are under wraps, expect a delicious variety of sweet and savory crepes to tantalize your taste buds,” Thompson wrote on Instagram last week.

The cafe owners did not respond in time to requests for comment.
