Arlington and much of the D.C. area is under a Wind Advisory this (Sunday) afternoon.
Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are possible, according to the National Weather Service. That’s on top of a storm threat.
“Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts are possible this afternoon,” said NWS. “A tornado or two is also possible.”

* WHERE…DC, and portions of central, north central, northern, and western Maryland, central, northern, northwest, and western Virginia, and eastern West Virginia.
* WHEN…Until 4 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
