A new cafe with cozy seats, neon signs and a playful disco theme is now open in Crystal City.
Coffee Republic opened last week at 3130 Potomac Avenue, on the ground floor of Azure National Landing apartments. The shop sells espresso drinks and food in addition to organic coffee beans and grounds.
It has signature drinks and all-day breakfast
- Eight signature lattes like the lavender “Calm Bean” and salted caramel “Salty Dog” join tea, blended drinks and fruit-flavored energy “buzzers.”
- English muffin egg sandwiches are available to order all day long. Other food options include breakfast burritos, quiche and baked goods.
- Items like strawberry and hazelnut-flavored lattes and matcha topped with lavender ube cold foam are featured in the spring menu.
This is Virginia’s first Coffee Republic
- The North Carolina-born franchise has opened three D.C. area locations since its founding in 2003.
- The shop sells and supplies organic coffee from Disco Coffee Roasters, a family-owned business from North Carolina.
- Once it receives a liquor license, it also plans to serve espresso martinis.
Coffee Republic is open in Crystal City daily from 7 a.m.-5 pm.
