A fast-casual Italian restaurant has pushed back its plans to open in Ballston until the summertime.
Scolapasta — previously expected to open last month at 4219 Fairfax Drive — is now aiming to open in July, owner Burak Temel told ARLnow.
Scolapasta offers build-your-own pasta bowls
- The restaurant replacing longtime pizzeria Pizza Roma has been in development since February 2024.
- Located near the Ballston Metro station, Scolapasta will serve pasta bowls with customizable noodles, meats and sauces.
- It opened its first location at the Tysons Galleria in November.
A gym and bar are opening nearby
- Strength training gym Performance360 is preparing to open later this month in the same strip on Fairfax Drive, replacing Hunan Gate.
- Elsewhere in Ballston, the East Asian-themed Luna Bar is also slated to open this month at Ballston Quarter, serving cocktails and fried finger foods.
