A new Turkish restaurant with kebab dishes and gyros is setting up shop in Rosslyn.
Capital Doner is “opening soon,” according to new storefront signs at 1731 Wilson Blvd, where The Simple Greek restaurant has closed.
It has wraps, pitas, sandwiches and platters
- Capital Doner specializes in doner kebab, a Turkish rotisserie method of meat preparation. It serves chicken and beef.
- Sandwich and wrap combo meals start at $15.99 and come with fries and a beverage.
- Other options include falafel wraps, red lentil soup and doner boxes with fries. Baklava and pistachio kadayif pastries are available for dessert.
This is Capital Doner’s second location
- The restaurant has one outpost in D.C.’s Dupont Circle neighborhood. Employees told ARLnow the new location is slated to open in the next month or so.
- Capital Doner’s neighbors in the Wilson Blvd strip mall include Mele Bistro, Eclairons bakery, Thai Select and Pho 75.
