Arlington and much of the D.C. area is once again under a Flood Watch today (Wednesday).
The watch is in effect from 5 p.m. until midnight, and also encompasses D.C., Falls Church and Fairfax County, among other neighboring jurisdictions.
Forecasters say more storms with very heavy rainfall are possible this evening, raising the risk of flash flooding.

– Showers and thunderstorms will track across the area late this afternoon into this evening. Storms will be capable of producing very heavy rainfall, with 1 to 3 inches possible in an hour where stationary cells or multiple rounds occur. Widespread rainfall totals near an inch are expected, with localized maxes of 2-4 inches.

According to the Capital Weather Gang, this sets a local record for the most flood watches issued since May.
