‘Party Mania’ supply store coming to former rug shop on Columbia Pike

A new party supply store is planning to open in a vacant Columbia Pike storefront where a family-owned rug shop closed last year.

New signs have appeared for Tysons-based Party Mania at 2330 Columbia Pike, which has been empty since the rug retailer Manoukian Brothers Oriental Rugs relocated to Langston Blvd.

Co-owner Wei Ferrara described Party Mania as a “one-stop party supply business offering the area’s largest selection of balloons.” The company offers balloon delivery and decorating services, and sells party supplies, seasonal decor, greeting cards, piñatas and “fun wearable items.”

Party Mania hopes to open next year

  • The store’s owners are currently in negotiations with contractors and plan to open by the start of 2026, Ferrara said.
  • Previous plans to open a Turkish restaurant and hookah lounge at the property never materialized, property owner Yao Yao told ARLnow.

This is its second location

  • The first Party Mania has been operating in Tysons since 2003, Ferrara said.
  • Planned store hours are 9:30 a.m.-9 p.m., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
  • Elsewhere on the Pike, the new business Shark Tax & Services will celebrate a grand opening this Saturday, replacing a former cell phone repair shop.
