A locally owned plant shop in Crystal City is celebrating its one-year anniversary this month with giveaways, a market and other activities.
PLNTR, the D.C.-based boutique and nursery known for making an appearance on Season 7 of “Love is Blind,” will host a celebration on Sunday, May 31. Attractions will include a pop-up market with art and vinyl records and a “flash” tattoo session with Hummingbird Tattoo.
Scheduled vendors include Boombox Baggage, The Map’d Project, Rhythm Lingo Records and Just Ask Cassie from noon to 5 p.m. From 1-3 p.m., nearby Flight Wine Shop will also hold wine tasting at the shop.
Co-owners Caitlin Tuttle and James Beach told ARLnow that the first year has “flown by.”
“We have loved getting to know our new neighbors, new dog regulars, and fellow small business community in National Landing/Crystal City! We look forward to many years to come,” they said.

The celebration will include some giveaways and discounts, including 25% off large plants (10″ and up), a free mini plant with purchases over $50 and a free PLNTR tote bag with purchases over $75.
Guests can also enter to win a $25 gift card, small plant, bottle of fertilizer, plant shears and other goods in a PLNTR tote bag. The shop is also planning an Instagram story sweepstakes for a free flash tattoo totaling up to $100.
