Noble Fox restaurant and bar opens in Rosslyn with views of Potomac

A new restaurant and cocktail bar with a terrace overlooking the Potomac River has opened in Rosslyn.

Noble Fox Bar & Terrace is open for business on the fourth floor of 1121 19th Street N., next to the lobby for Le Méridien. It offers breakfast and dinner based on American brasserie fare, plus a wide menu of cocktails, wine and beer.

“Familiar flavors are elevated through thoughtful preparation and unique touches, creating dishes that pair as naturally with cocktails on the terrace as they do with an unhurried evening meal,” a press release says.

For breakfast, menu highlights include smoked salmon avocado toast, steak frites and eggs and the Noble Fox Omelet, with smoked bacon, caramelized onions, arugula and gruyère. Other options: croissant French toast, a croissant breakfast sandwich or a fruit parfait.

The establishment is closed during the afternoon, but reopens at 4 p.m. for happy hour. Diners can enjoy entrees such as seared salmon, blackened shrimp tacos, grilled margherita flatbread or the Noble Fox Burger, with caramelized onions, gruyère and truffle mayo.

These pair with cocktails such as The Clever Hour (an Irish Old Fashioned), Le Renard Spritz (an Aperol Spritz), Fox in the Garden (a strawberry basil smash) and Golden Instinct (a honey ginger mule).

The kitchen is led by Chef Francecil Ponte, who promises a menu built on “seasonality, shareability, and effortless refinement.”

“Noble Fox is a reflection of the way I love to cook and entertain,” Ponte said. “The menu is rooted in seasonality, curiosity, and a genuine love of bringing people together. We’ve created a place where guests can slow down, connect, and discover something new with every visit.”

Noble Fox is open Monday through Friday from 6:30-10 a.m. and from 4-10 p.m., and on the weekend from 7-11 a.m. and from 4-10 p.m.

Happy hour is from 4-7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
