An Indian restaurant with a wide variety of curries and shareable dishes has opened in Pentagon City.
Pink Saffron hosted its grand opening last weekend, replacing Bun’d Up at 1201 S. Joyce Street, in the Westpost shopping center. Its menu features over 20 different curries, including both meat and vegetarian options, plus big plates to share and traditional sweets for dessert.
Pink Saffron promises rich Indian flavors
- The restaurant describes its menu as a “celebration of India’s culinary heritage, where every spice tells a story and every bite feels like home.”
- Recommended shareable dishes include South Indian-style lamb chops and keema ghotala, or minced lamb.
- Curries, meanwhile, include chicken tikka masala and nalli nihari (lamb shank cooked in brown onion sauce), as well as vegan and vegetarian dishes like paneer pasanda and vegetable kolhapuri.
It mixes ‘tradition and innovation’
- Pink Saffron is open seven days a week from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
- “Every dish at Pink Saffron is crafted to balance tradition and innovation — from classic curries and tandoor-grilled specialties to creative small plates and signature cocktails,” an announcement says.
