Twins Ace Hardware is celebrating its new Crystal City location this weekend with some big-ticket item giveaways, refreshments and other activities.
Starting today (Friday), the locally owned and operated hardware shop is holding a grand opening weekend at 2051 S. Bell Street. Festivities over the next few days will include a grilling expert meet-and-greet, daily giveaways and a ribbon cutting.
“Whether you’re a DIYer, grill master, new neighbor, or just curious to explore the new store, there’s something for everyone,” Twins Ace Hardware said in a press release.
Now through Sunday, the first 25 guests each day can “score a special swag bag” with branded goodies in a reusable bag from the Children’s Miracle Network.
Twins Ace Hardware will also offer some larger daily giveaways throughout the weekend. According to a flier shared by the store, customers can enter to win the following items.
Friday
- Weber Spirit E-325 grill (valued at $549)
- DeWalt 20v Max Atomic Cordless 2 Tool Set (valued at $229)
Saturday
- Traeger Pro 22 grill (valued at $599)
- Craftsman Mechanics 256-piece tool set (valued at $199)
Sunday

- EGO Power+ Trimmer/Blower Combo (valued at $319)
Other activities include a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon tomorrow, as well as a meet-and-greet with chef and grilling expert Jason Morse, an Ace spokesperson whose culinary work has been featured on Food Network.
Morse will be at the store from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, where he’ll share grilling tips while offerings samples of his barbecue sauces and rubs, according to a press release. During that time, the Arlington-based Rossana coffee truck will also offer complimentary treats with a store receipt.
The new hardware store is Arlington’s second Twins Ace location, joining a shop that opened in Courthouse a decade ago. Led by the same owner, second-generation Ace operator Jeff Smith, the store takes up more than 8,000 square feet of ground floor space at The Zoe apartments.
“Customers can expect a thoughtfully curated selection of household essentials, giftable items, plants, paint, grills, and more — all supported by the kind of personalized service that Jeff’s Ace Hardware team is known for,” Smith previously told ARLnow. “The goal is to create a convenient, welcoming space where the community can find both everyday necessities and unique finds.”
The new shop will be open until 7 p.m. today, with hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday) and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
