Hot stone massage is a natural therapy in which warmed stones are positioned on parts of the client’s body of to maximize the therapeutic benefit. The stones used are typically river rocks or other very smooth-surfaced stones made of basalt. These stones are heated in sanitizing water before use. The high iron content in basalt helps the stones retain heat during the massage. Hot stone massages are beneficial on both physical and psychological levels. Always check with your doctor before getting a hot stone massage; individuals with certain conditions–including pregnant women and people with high blood pressure–are advised to avoid this type of therapy.

Fusion’s innovative learning model offers complete customization for each student, wherever they are in their educational path, and focuses on creating a real emotional connection. Located at 333 John Carlyle Street, Suite 100, the Alexandria campus is among 37 Fusion schools across the country.

“In working with families at Vive, we often come across young people who are struggling with school issues – behavioral, academic, truancy, etc. The best outcomes tend to come from a combination of support at home and a good match between the young person’s needs and their educational program,” said Christopher Lee, MA LCPC, Clinical Team Lead at Vive Family Support Program D.C., which provides therapeutic mentorship, parent coaching and counseling. “Fusion’s emphasis on providing one-on-one instruction well mirrors our values at Vive of showing up for our families and providing the individualized support required at that moment. Since its launch in 2015 the app has been partnering with hundreds of businesses including restaurants, salons, spas and boutiques to connect users to merchants and build connections that might not otherwise be created. With no plans to slow down, the app is now connecting users in Fairfax County, Arlington County, Alexandria and Washington D.C. with merchants in their neighborhoods.

“Falls Church is a connector hub between the Western suburbs and Washington D.C. We want to see people not only enjoying their own neighborhoods, but also checking out new places, events and neighborhoods,” said Pierre Malko, Dante’s CEO. “Ouli is not a ‘deal finder,’ it’s a personal concierge app that provides users with personalized offers based on their chosen activity and location. Ouli is building community connections and bringing a sense of personalized attention to huge areas of commerce.”

Launched in 2015, the app has quickly expanded across the DC Metro area. Ouli has partnered with hundreds of restaurants, salons, spas, boutiques and other businesses to connect users to merchants and build connections that might not otherwise be created.

“The Mosaic District is a relatively new center of commerce, so many consumers don’t know what’s in their own backyard. With a farmers market, movie nights, a variety of shops and a great dining scene, there is so much to offer local residents,” said Pierre Malko, Dante’s CEO. “As a personal concierge app, Ouli partners with merchants to highlight their events, special offers, daily deals, holiday offers and so much more. Push notifications allow Ouli to make users aware of highly relevant and personalized offers as they are happening close by thus enhancing the ability to create connections.”
