The median sales price of Arlington single-family homes in 2025 could peak at around $1.4 million in early summer before retreating slightly, according to a new forecast.
The prediction, which also anticipates a year-over-year decline in county home sales next year, comes from the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR) and the George Mason University Center for Regional Analysis.
It’s an uncertain forecast in part due to above-freezing temperatures today, but forecasters say D.C. area residents should expect 1-3 inches of snow between late tonight and Tuesday night.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, warning of the potential for snow accumulation disrupting driving tomorrow, particularly during the morning commute.

According to our friends over at the Capital Weather Gang, Thursday could bring an inch or two, while Sunday could bring “a crippling East Coast snowstorm.” The chance of each happening is still well below 50 percent, but it’s never too early to freak out and start coming up with creative names like we did last year, right?

Update at 4:45 PM – National Weather Service predicting 10 to 20 inches of accumulation for DC. Officially, the Winter Storm Warning for Arlington calls for 6-12 inches of snow.
