Update at 10:40 a.m. — The westbound lanes have reopened.
Washington Blvd is currently blocked in the area of 2nd Street S. due to a large fallen tree, according to scanner traffic.
A man led police on a chase down Glebe Road and Columbia Pike on Sunday afternoon.
The incident started around 3 p.m. when police were dispatched to the 4200 block of 2nd Road N. in Buckingham for a report of a “dispute in progress possibly involving a firearm.”
Updated on 3/25/22 — The attempted malicious wounding charges were dropped in this case. The defendant pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor eluding charge and received two years of probation, according to court records.
A woman tried to ram a police cruiser during a vehicle pursuit last night near Crystal City, according to Arlington County Police.
The strong-arm robbery happened on the 4200 block of N. Pershing Drive, a block of shops, restaurants and apartments just southwest of Glebe Road. The suspect stole the victim’s belongings and then drove off.

The alleged incident happened in the booking room of the Arlington County Detention Facility in Courthouse early Monday morning.
Marilyn McBay, 38, “assaulted an officer and deputy by scratching both on the face and kicking the officer in the chest,” according to police.
The crash happened in rainy weather around 5:40 p.m. Saturday, on S. Glebe Road near ramps to and from I-395.

Just before 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday police responded to a report of two suspicious people trespassing at a residential property on the 1200 block of N. Eads Street in Pentagon City. Upon arriving in the area, a K-9 officer saw the suspects fleeing on foot.
Police canvassed the area and briefly pursued the suspects on foot, then made one arrest. Further investigation revealed that at least one vehicle in the area had been tampered with.
This morning just before 4 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm at the property and found that two men had entered the store. The suspects fled shortly after police arrived.
Although police do not release the names of affected businesses, Macy’s is the only remaining department store on that block while the Ballston mall undergoes renovation.
Update 8:50 p.m. – Olga Price was found safely in Washington, D.C. earlier this afternoon, after being declared missing on Saturday morning.
Earlier: The Virginia State Police issued a senior alert earlier this morning on behalf of Arlington police, who are looking for a missing woman.
Police say he was leaving a restaurant on the 200 block of N. Glebe Road around 2:30 a.m. when he was assaulted by four men. The suspects took off on foot with items they stole from the victim.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No Fire in Barricaded Person Situation — Police and firefighters responded to the 1500 block of Crystal Drive last night for a report of a barricaded person inside an apartment that may have been on fire. The smell of smoke had been reported coming from the apartment. Emergency responders tried to gain access to the apartment for a couple hours but cleared the scene when they determined there was no fire. [Fox 5]
