Real-estate sales data for May paint a mixed picture but show no signs of impending doom for the Arlington and Falls Church markets.

The average sales price per square foot for both jurisdictions was up year-over-year, according to new figures, although May’s rate was running below the year-to-date average in each case.


Around Town

A Ballston fitness studio and a local mini-mart are among at least 10 local businesses that have been recently listed for sale in Arlington.

A rare real estate find is expected to hit the market in Arlington later this month: a “Missing Middle” home.

A duplex at 2129 N. Troy Street in North Highlands will begin hosting showings on May 30, according to a Redfin posting. The four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath home comes with 2,470 square feet and a listed price tag of $1,795,000.
