From this week’s Arlington County crime report:

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST 09/23/10, 2000 block of S. 27th Street. On September 23 at 6:30 pm, a man touched a teenage girl on her shoulder without her permission. The man fled the area when confronted by another adult. The suspect was located by police. A tazer was deployed because the suspect was uncooperative. Alton Dixon, 46, of no fixed address, was charged with Assault and Battery and Fail to Identify to Law Enforcement. He was held on a $1,000 bond.

Police used a Taser on a man in the parking lot of the Arlington Coin Laundry store just before midnight last night. It’s the first known use of a Taser by Arlington officers since the April 30 incident at a Columbia Pike apartment building where a man died after being Tasered by police.

This latest incident happened at 4821 Columbia Pike, just down the road from April’s incident. Police had been called to the location for a report of intoxicated men trying to break into the laundromat. Shortly after police arrived an officer reported that a Taser had been used on one suspect.

Would-Be Challengers Blast Moran on Vote — Republican primary contenders Matthew Berry and Patrick Murray took turns blasting Rep. Jim Moran (D) after the long-time Northern Virginia congressman cast a futile vote to allow a congressional pay raise. Family Raises Questions About Taser Death — The family of a man who died after being Tasered by Arlington police is speaking out. Adil Jouami was unclothed, uncooperative and combative when officers arrived at a family member’s Columbia Pike apartment Friday morning, police said. Jouami’s grief-stricken family questioned the need to use a Taser on a naked, unarmed man when as many as ten officers were present at the scene. More from Fox 5.

A man has died after being Tasered by Arlington police and going into cardiac arrest.

It happened around 1:00 a.m. on the seventh floor of the Wildwood Park apartments, at the western end of Columbia Pike. Police were called for a psychiatric emergency and found a naked man inside an apartment.
