Of the five county board members, one saw his assessment fall, three saw their assessment stay the same, and one saw her assessment rise dramatically. [Sun Gazette]

Glad to see something coming to that space.

good luck to Ballston-Virginia Square Civic Association when meeting with dittmar. they cut down a 100 year old elm tree in our neighborhood. many residents called the county and mike albrittain of dittmar to ask the tree be saved. the response from the developer… “the tree has to go because that’s where the driveway is going” the construction crew also litters up the neighborhood streets with coffee cups, subway wrappers, mcdonalds bags. when we asked them to please pick up we were asked if there were eyewitnesses to the littering. arlington county seems to love them, but i wish we could have kept them out of our neighborhood.

If that was the safe place for the driveway, we should not blame them. Now if the site foreman can’t keep the place litter free, then shame on them.

In respect to real estate assessments, the County Board members had only 1 person’s RE taxes go up. That might be as shocking as the fact the real estate assessments made up the “budgetary” deficit.

      Yes, how convenient.

Rhodeside Grill was supposed to be torn down for the expansion of the building next door. Whatever happened to that? One of the few places in Arlington that makes you comfortable and assures good service/food, they would be a nice addition to Columbia Pike.

Here is a photo of inside Sienna Park possible new Rhode side venue. I hope they put in another Ragtime with blues and GOOD music.

  • It’s spelled “Siena Park”! 🙂

We’re excited at the idea of the restaurant opening! I can tell you that residents all up and down Columbia Pike are eager for it!

Did anyone go the Ballston VA Square meeting and hear the Dittmar presentation? Curious to hear what was said.
