Frozen Yogurt Store Coming to Rosslyn

It looks like Rosslyn is going to be getting a new frozen yogurt restaurant next to the former Ray’s Hell Burger Too.

A sign in the window of the shuttered Santis Shipping store (1715 Wilson Blvd) in the Colonial Village Shopping Center indicates that a IceBerry froyo store is “coming soon.” So far, there’s no indication that any building permits have been issued.

IceBerry, a small D.C.-based frozen yogurt chain, serves nonfat frozen yogurt — with a variety of fresh toppings — and fruit smoothies. IceBerry has existing stores in Reston, Chantilly, and Springfield, according to its website.

    Just in time for winter.

And let the wise crack, Arlington stereotype jokes begin…

    • novasteve

Maybe someone who is wearing flipflops can crash their car into it?

      • Chris

I think you forgot to add car “with automatic transmission”

        • novasteve

Well, that’s presumed, If you crash into a building, you had an automatic transmission.

  • KalashniKEV

    I want SweetFrog froyo!

  • TGEoA

Technically that is still in Courthouse

    • CrystalMikey

I thought Rhodes St. was the border?

      • SomeGuy

CrystalMikey is correct. Arlington County recognizes Rhodes St. as the separation between Rosslyn and Courthouse. So the article is also correct that this shop location is in Rosslyn.

        • CrystalMikey

On that note: what’s the border st. between Clarendon and Courthouse?

          • Danville

    • AoEGT

It’s not unusual for TGEoA to pontificate with defective information.

  • John

If it’s self serve, it will fail.

  • think big

if you want to go mass-market, why not frozen cupcake burgers?

  • OX4

Oh well. At least it’s not Ray’s the Froyo.

    • novasteve

I hear they’re opening a Ray’s the Flipflop next spring.

  • novasteve

Can we have our freaking tacobell back please?

  • i wish we could get some froyo on the pike…

This new business operation adds no strength to our population thru its food. The offerings are sweet and without protein. Please stop crowding your news like this that is all bad! You are giving free advertisements to unnecessary and doubtful businesses! Do you support this evil food?

    • CW

A jjbug by any other name is still just as nonsensical.

    • drax

      Yogurt has protein.

  • Running Dog Capitalist

I don’t understand these “entrepreneurs” who’s business model is to saturate the R-B corridor with four offerings: Pizza, burgers, cupcakes, and frozen yogurt. Do they really expect to still be in business a year from now?

    • CW

Well, until market saturation occurs, there is still profit to be extracted. What makes it risky, of course, is that the only way to find the inflection point is to push the market until it happens.
